Financial Aid- Exit Loan Counseling

How do I complete Exit Loan Counseling, and do I need to make an appointment with Financial Aid to do so?

If you received a Federal Direct Loan and you graduate, drop below part-time, or withdraw from BMCC, you are required to complete Exit Loan Counseling. This one-time session prepares you for making payments on your student loan(s). Exit Loan Counseling is completed online and does not require an appointment with the Financial Aid Office.

Note that if you are planning to return to BMCC or another institution within six months and will be enrolled in at least six degree credits, you do not need to complete Exit Loan Counseling yet.

Visit the Student Loans website to complete your Exit Loan Counseling. Once you have signed in, click on "Complete Counseling" and "Start Exit Counseling."
