HiSet- High School Equivalency Exam
What English and Math classes can I be placed in if I took The HiSet HSE exam?
CUNY cannot calculate a Proficiency Index for students that have HiSet scores, as there is no Proficiency Index formula for this High School Equivalency exam. A formula cannot be developed because there are not enough students that have taken this HSE exam to do the necessary analysis. Students with HiSet scores will be placed in co-req courses unless they can provide additional evidence that the college deems acceptable for placement in regular college level courses. If you feel that you should be placed in regular Math or English college level courses, please reach out to the respective department chairs to see if they will approve you to take those courses.
