Parent section of the FAFSA- no tax return
My parents did not file a tax return. How do they fill out the parents section of the FAFSA?
If your parents are not required to file a tax return, you should answer "Not going to file" when asked if your parents completed an IRS income tax return or another tax return.
You will then be taken to the appropriate questions that ask how much they earned from working. If they did not earn anything from work then you would enter 0. If they did earn money from working, you can collect this information from their W-2's.
