Deferring a CUNY Application
Can I move my application to the next semester?
CUNY applications are good for two terms. The current term and the following one (1 year). For example, if a Spring 2024 CUNY application is submitted, the application can be deferred once to the Summer/Fall 2024 term. It cannot be deferred to the Spring 2025 term. In that case, a student must submit a brand-new CUNY application for the Spring 2025 term.
Deferrals can be requested by emailing admissions@bmcc.cuny.edu or by speaking to an admissions representative in the Panther Station at BMCC.
