How do I submit an Income Adjustment
Students can make virtual appointments to speak to a Financial Aid counselor regarding their change of income, during Professional Judgement Appeal periods. Appointments will be available via the BMCC Financial Aid site here: https://www.bmcc.cuny.edu/finaid/online-financial-aid-forms/.
Student will click on either “Income Adjustment for Independent Students” or “Income Adjustment for Dependent Students” located under Special Circumstances or Professional Judgment Appeals to start the process.
It may take up to 4 weeks for an income adjustment appeal to be processed. Students should check their BMCC email in case additional documents are requested from the Financial Aid counselor. A delay in submitting the requested documents will further delay the processing of the appeal. If the adjustment helps the student receive Federal Pell Grant, the student will be able to view their award on CUNYFirst in their Student Center by clicking on “View Financial Aid” in the Finances section and then selecting the aid year of interest.
