I filed my FAFSA already. Why haven't I heard from BMCC yet?
You should receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Federal Student Aid Programs within 3-5 days after filing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the web.
In order for BMCC to have access to your FAFSA information, be sure you included BMCC's Federal School Code (002691) on your FAFSA application. If you did not, log-in with your Federal Student Aid ID and add BMCC's Federal School Code to your application. (See: How to Correct or Update Your FAFSA® Application | Federal Student Aid).
Note, you must be accepted into a degree program here at BMCC in order to qualify for Federal Student Aid.
You can check your financial aid status on your CUNYFirst account. Make sure there are no pending items on your to-do list that will prevent or delay you from receiving aid. For more detailed information on how to view your to-do list and your financial aid awards please view this handy guide!
