How do I know if I am eligible for NY State Opportunity Promise?
How do I know if I qualify for NY State Opportunity Promise?
Eligible student requirements include:
- Resident of New York State or eligible for in-state tuition
- Between the ages of 25-55 as of the first day of the term
- Does not currently have a degree, or its equivalent which includes foreign degree equivalent to a post-secondary degree (can have college credits, certificate, micro credential or life experience credit)
- Enrolled in an approved associate degree program (Such as Computer Science and Early Childhood Education)
- Enroll in minimum of 6 credits per term, earn 12 per academic year
- Must file for Federal and New York State financial aid
- Must maintain good academic standing as per the college's academic standards and any specific program requirements.
