24 College Credit Program (ended in 2014)
A student was a part of the 24 College Credit Program. How can they get their GED?
The 24 College Credit Program was active until 2014. It allowed students to get accepted to BMCC without completing high school, gaining 24 credits, and upon completion of those credits in a specific set of subjects that the State education department sets, they can then apply for a GED through Albany. They will need to fill out a form, and get it signed by Registrar with a copy of their official transcript showing the courses and credits they took.
For any student that was part of the 24 college credit program when it was active prior to 2014, they can still get their GED from Albany if they have fulfilled the requirements. Anyone that is coming in with a form to get filled out in order to apply for their GED can email it to registrar@bmcc.cuny.edu and they will fill it out the schools portion/certification.
